Bachelor of Science in Criminology

The Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BS Criminology) is a four-year degree program guided by CHED Memorandum Order No. 5, Series of 2018, designed to prepare students for careers in law enforcement, crime prevention, public safety, and the criminal justice system. The program provides comprehensive theoretical and practical training across forensic science, law enforcement administration, criminal law and procedure, correctional administration, and criminological research. Students gain hands-on expertise in technical areas such as fingerprint examination, ballistics, forensic chemistry, and crime scene investigation, alongside physical fitness and marksmanship training. To complement classroom instruction, students complete an intensive field practicum with government agencies such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), or Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), preparing graduates to take the Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE) and become Registered Criminologists (RCrim).

The curriculum provides comprehensive training in travel and tour operations, destination planning and policy development, sustainable tourism, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) management. Alongside core business and marketing coursework, the program integrates cultural heritage preservation and local environmental stewardship to ensure responsible tourism practices. To gain practical industry experience, students undergo a required minimum 600-hour practicum training in airlines, travel agencies, luxury resorts, or government tourism agencies prior to graduation.
